The Fork & Carrot

The Fork & Carrot is a unique lifestyle website centred around vegan beer and food pairing information. Featuring vegan beers, breweries and food, the website has a niche market but strong and ever-increasing following.

We were tasked with designing and building a new website to complement a regular drinks column that features in the award-winning Vegan Life magazine. 

The main objectives of the new website were to provide a space to publish long-form essays in addition to beer reviews, ideas for food and drink pairings, and information on upcoming events.

From the new logo, a clear identity was formed which was reflected in the website. Gold and silver were chosen as the primary colours for the site with a natural, organic background. Clear typography was important to allow the content-heavy website to be easily read.

The home page needed to become a hub for any new information that was added to the website; from beer reviews to upcoming events. Having clearly defined areas helped to achieve this and direct the user to the most recent content.
