We've switched our business banking to Starling, a digital, mobile-only challenger bank based in the UK.
After banking with NatWest for many years, we felt it was time to move to an ethical banking provider who would help to support us through our growth.
Starling Bank is a digital, mobile-only challenger bank based in the UK. Founded in 2014 by industry-leading banker Anne Boden, Starling has over 1.4 million customer accounts with £2.4 billion in deposits.
We were initially captivated by their beautifully minimal teal and navy bank cards and were excited to discover that they shared similar ethical ideals to ours. From having an inclusive workplace culture to being a Living Wage Employer, they were an obvious choice for us.
For a long time, we have tried to be a paperless office and streamline our accounting process. By switching our business account to Starling we get instant payment notifications and a real-time balance, Spending Insights which helps us understand exactly where our money goes, mobile cheque deposits by taking a photo of the cheque in the app, cash deposits at our local Post Office and zero foreign transaction fees.
One of the largest benefits for us as a business has been the ability to connect our Starling Business Account to QuickBooks, our accounting software. Our account balance and transactions are shown in QuickBooks in real-time allowing us to easily manage our accounts and give us a complete overview of cash flow with 90-day cash flow forecasts.
If you are an existing client of ours, you will need to update our account details when you next make a payment to us. Our new bank account details are clearly shown on any invoices, and we will happily talk you through anything if you are unsure.
